Heatstar Pegasus Dehumidifiers Dehumidifiers Simple Installation The Pegasus is simply attached to the supporting wall using the mounting bracket provided. It will require a mains electricity supply and condensate water drain. Dehumidification with Total Energy Reclaim As the humid air from the pool room is re-circulated through the Pegasus by the internal fan, a refrigerated heat transfer coil is used to condense out the excess moisture. The high quantity of ‘sensible’ and ‘latent’ energy contained within the warm, humid pool room air can then be utilised by the refrigeration system using the Heat Pump principle to provide Active Heat Recovery. This heat, together with ALL the electrical power consumed by the compressor motor which drives the refrigeration system, is then used to help heat the pool room air. Thermostatic Expansion Valve Consistent dehumidification effectiveness is regulated by a special Thermostatic Expansion Valve. This valve automatically optimises the performance of the refrigeration system in line with variations in the pool room conditions. This feature enables the best possible dehumidification performance in relation to power consumption. Attractive Styling The Pegasus enjoys attractive, modern ‘designer’ styling and is available in white as a neutral colour or, alternatively, natural wood grain. The facia is high-quality galvanised steel with a tough, embossed PVC coating. The ‘plasticy’ appearance associated with older dehumidifier designs is completely avoided. The quality and robust appearance of the facia, together with the elegance of the laminate decorative end panels, ensures that the Pegasus will naturally complement the pool room décor. Automatic Control The Pegasus is fully automatic, incorporating an easy-to-use control panel with built-in sensors to accurately maintain the require environment. Quiet Operation The Pegasus uses a special low-speed, high-efficiency, direct drive centrifugal fan, ensuring minimal operational noise. To help absorb vibration, the refrigeration compressor is positioned on anti-vibration rubber mounts. Air Distribution into Pool Room The warm dry conditioned air is discharged back into the pool room via a special vent in the facia of the Pegasus. This vent is designed to enable the air to be supplied at the optimum velocity and angle to obtain the best possible dispersion over a range of installation heights. Low Temperature Application Defrost versions are available to enable use in cold unheated areas. Motor Protection The Pegasus is equipped with a cut-out switch to automatically stop the compressor motor in the event of low refrigerant pressure. The compressor is also fitted with a thermal overload protection device. Pool Room Air Heating (Optional) To assist in achieving the optimum pool room temperature, an integral air heating coil, together with automatic control, can be incorporated within the Pegasus dehumidifier. This coil transfers heat piped from a separate fuel boiler into the pool room air as it is recirculated through the Pegasus by the internal fan. Alternatively, a direct electric air heating coil option is also available. Air Heating Control Thermostat An automatic air heating thermostat is incorporated within the Pegasus to enable the pool room air temperature to be accurately regulated. Through the Wall Version With the Through the Wall version of the Pegasus the dehumidifier can be concealed by being mounted behind a wall of the pool room in an adjoining area. The pool room air would travel to and from the dehumidifier via holes through the wall and all that can be seen from the pool room are air grilles covering these holes. High Quality Construction The Pegasus is designed and constructed to the highest possible standard and all components have been especially selected for use within corrosive swimming pool environments. For maximum durability and strength, the core unit is constructed using an anodised aluminium pentapost frame system. All panels and fascias are formed from galvanised steel with a tough PVC coating to prevent corrosion. The low operating pressure refrigeration system is filled with zero ozone depletion refrigerant and is completely hermetically sealed to guard against leakage. It also has an IPX4 enclosure ring.
